Our currently enrolling and upcoming study indications include:  

 

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension):  This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of 2 FDA approved medications as a fixed-dose combination medication for patients with stage 1 or 2 hypertension. This is a 16 week long study which may include up to 15 visits. Subjects who participate will be compensated for time and travel.

Opioid Induced Constipation : This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication compared to a placebo for the treatment of Opioid Induced Constipation. This is a 12 week long study with 6 visits in the Boise office and 1 follow up phone call. If you complete all visits and phone calls, you may be compensated for time and travel up to $805.00.

Actinic Keratosis: This study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational topical medication when paired with a light therapy, as compared to a placebo for Actinic Keratosis in men and women aged 18 and older. The participants must have a diagnosis of Actinic Keratosis.

Diabetes with High Blood Pressure on one blood pressure medication: This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an investigational medicine (dapagliflozin) in subjects with Type II diabetes who have inadequately controlled hypertension while on medication. Subjects can only be on one blood pressure medication, either an ACE or ARB. Subjects must be on an oral antidiabetic medication with poor control.

 Toenail fungus: This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication in treating mild to moderate toenail fungus. Participants will be required to apply the investigational nail laquer nightly to all toenails.  There are 11 visits over a 52 week period.

Gout with Heart Disease: This study is to test the long term safety of two FDA approved medications for the treatment of gout in patients with heart disease. The length of the study varies but won't be longer than 5 years. There are 20 visits and participants may be compensated up to $700 for time and travel.
